Practical and caring insurance company.

Not only does nationwide provide financial help, but they genuinely care and follow up to see how my pet is doing. It’s very nice to know they seem to genuinely care. Customer service is excellent as well. Highly recommend!

Great insurance to have

VPI has helped me and my pet in so many ways. They make it possible for me to never second guess getting treatment for my pet because I know that they will help me financially. I have had VPI since both my dogs were pups and it couldn’t have been a better decision for us.

The Best Pet Insurance Ever!

Because of this insurance, Sage is not only well but thriving because she got exactly the treatment she needed without having to compromise on care. Payments have been timely, and the direct deposit feature is a great convenience. have recommended Nationwide to anyone I know who has a pet. Many of Lady's claims that should have been coverd were not. I will be calling after New Year's day.

I am disappointed about the denial of claims that should have been covered.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
