Not sure about value yet
Hello,
Thanks for asking for my opinion. I got a puppy last June and immediately got her pet insurance through Nationwide. The cost of the multiple vaccinations and visits, plus heart worm prevention, plus getting her spayed was very high! I had no idea.
I submitted all the costs and I'm sure you covered them per the policy, though it is very difficult to figure out what, exactly, the policy covers and how much. For example, I thought all vaccinations are covered, but apparently there is a limit, and my vet went over that limit.
Anyway, long story short, after I submitted the claims and got reimbursed for what you cover, I basically got back an amount equal to what I have paid for insurance so far, so it's a net neutral for me so far.
I hope she never gets sick, but if she does, I'm hopeful there will be a more obvious benefit (for me :-)
Thanks,
Karen Villarreal
