Nationwide is on MY side

Nationwide has been so good to us. Monster, my 11 yr Yorkie-Chihuahua mix, has had an ACL surgery and a lot of other issues. Nationwide has covered his medical expenses. Nationwide is definitely a great choice for us.

I would never take on the responsibility of owning a pet without making sure they are covered from head to tail with the greatest pet insurance.

Great claims process

The claims process is awesome. Done electronically and paid directly to my designated account. Nationwide has been great whenever dealing with them on my dogs.

Good

I have been with nationwide for 12 plus years and am very pleased with the coverage. I recently purchased a puppy and nationwide had comparable coverage with other insurance company but also offered a discount for adding a new pet, and that helped me decide to stay with nationwide with the new pup!

Peace of Mind

Teddy was pretty sick and it took a few very expensive tests to figure out what was going on. He still has a bit of a hill to climb, as we are now trying to find out the right medication for his issues. Through it all, just knowing that we didn't have to think twice about the expense of all the tests, knowing that there would be some sort of reimbursement from Nationwide, really gave us peace of mind. We would have spent whatever was necessary to help our boy, but it is nice to know that Nationwide is there for us.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
