Big relief knowing the girls are insured and no worry when it comes to their vet bills.

Having pet insurance allows me to get the best care I can, without the burden of having to make a decision that I cannot afford not to get the care they need. I’ve had pet insurance on all my animals for over 25 years and I have been very pleased with them.

Insurance comes in handy

We found Watson, at just 5wks old, outside. We have two other cats but for now he is the only one with insurance. Mostly because he's accident prone. I think it definitely comes in handy. They cover a huge amount of the cost (90%) and processing the paper work isn't too difficult. It does takes some time. Keep in mind, the older they get, the higher your premium. One of the reason we don't have all our cats on it. And I think the other downside is that they reimburse the cost. Meaning, you have to pay out of pocket at the vet and then they fax over the info and you get a 90% (depending on your plan) refund within 30days (sometimes shorter). This means you better have a few thousand dollars in the bank for a rainy day. I know most people have savings but if you're like me and my husband (and most people who don't have good paying jobs), you have to come up with that money. I think the best way to go about it is keep some savings for emergency purposes for your pets or even just keep a credit card especially for vet visits. Things happen and it's a good idea to be prepared. I do wish it would go through faster at least. It would make the $500 blow a little easier. Not all vets are willing to take payments on big costs, unfortunately. Other than those two things, I think they're pretty great. And Nationwide also seems to have the best benefits. Totally worth getting for your younger pets.

Super easy and fair

Easy to use and quick to get payment, my dog had emergancy surgery and couldn’t of been happier with the speed and ease at which I could make a claim. Once you make your first claim you can create and send a claim in less than 30 seconds. Always fast with payment and fair when making a claim. Easy to contact on the phone and helpful. Was shocked at how fair the insurance was have zero complaints. Would highly recommend.
