Very Happy with Nationawide Insurance
Thank you for the contact. I think we finally have this pancreatitis under control with some new food and feeding small amounts 4 times a day. We believe this whole thing started out from a very stressful boarding situation, where all my dogs had to be boarded for 9 days while we went out of town.
Clay had a terrible time of it.. 5 days after I picked him up he got the pancreatitis all from stress we believe, he also had a possible blockage from eating a plastic dog house in a kennel run at the boarding facility. Chicken and rice diet lasted 12 days along with Antibiotics for the pancreatitis. And he also had huge a head wound on the top of his head that he got by trying to dig out of a box stall converted into a kennel run. This caused a bacterial infection at the same time as the pancreatitis issues. I finally had to go to a 2nd vet to get them to test for yeast and bacteria because it wasn't healing, and they finally prescribed the Antibiotics for these wounds, which have now healed over completely. So other than losing some weight, he is on the mend !
Thank you again for checking in. ( I cannot attach a picture in this email or I would )
Glad I had insurance for these issues which all started in November.
