Nationwide provides wonderful customer service.

Nationwide has the best customer service as their agents are trained professionals who are patient and willing to take the time to listen and give thoughtful responses. I was having trouble with a claim and found some of the correspondence confusing. The customer service team walked me through the steps necessary and even provided me a number for my vet to call to help provide the additional information needed to resolve the issue with my claim. Thank you Nationwide for your help. I am a 3-year policy holder and I have 3 dogs insured. I appreciate the extra support provided to me and my pets.

Great coverage

Nationwide has wonderful coverage for all the issues I have had with my 3 cats. I usually get back 80% of what I paid to vet it even more. The only thing not covered is expensive medication for Hoku that costs over $40/month. I was told there is a yearly limit of $30/ year as it’s an anti anxiety drug and even though I thought I had gotten coverage for “ behavioral issues” when I increased my coverage this year I was told it isn’t covered. This is the only problem I have with this great insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
