Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I love the coverage that Nationwide Pet Insurance provides. We originally had VPI then stayed with it when it became Nationwide. We have no complaints on the amount of money that is paid to us when a claim is filed and we have met the deductible. I do with wish claims were processed in a more timely manner as on average it takes 4 weeks. I also wish they had various deductibles that you could chose from instead of the $250 deductible. Other than those two issues, we are very happy with our Nationwide Pet Insurance. I have in the past contacted customer service and they were great resolving my issue. Yes, I am a "real" Nationwide customer.

Our golden, Nola, is seven and a half years old. She developed small tumors on her eye and ear, and our vet recommended having them removed. The entire bill was covered by our pet insurance, otherwise I'm not sure we would have been able to afford the cost. We really appreciate Nationwide and the care they help provide for our pets, as we consider them part of our family.

For the majority of the time I have been very happy with your pet insurance. However, I have noticed that the claims processing time has really slowed down. The last time, I had a clain that took over 2 months to process.

I've been with Nationwide for close to 9 years. I love the continuous improvements to the plans offered and the amount of reimbursement. I'm very interested in the new plan with almost 90% reimbursement and more in plan coverage.
