The Best

I have used Nationwide, formerly VPI insurance for my dogs for 14 years and do annual cost comparisons with other plans based on my claims over the past year. Consistently I find Nationwide to give me the best value for my money. Their customer service is hands down top notch. I have had vet offices make errors on claim forms and Nationwide staff is always super helping me get those corrected. Hassle free insurance!

Couldn't do this without Nationwide!

I am so grateful to Nationwide for partnering with me and taking the best possible care of Nakita. she is very, very dear to me, and it's reassuring to know that the best care is available to her when she needs it. She is healing up from some severe lacerations on the bottoms of her front feet. She got them at a dog park. I don't know how. With the advice an attention of my excellent vet, her feet are healing up beautifully. without my Nationwide Insurance, I'd be doing a lot more guesswork, Something I just can't afford to do when it comes to my very best friend.

My fault trying to receive payment electronically due to having two different banks.

Both my Boston Terriers were rescues & I've had them for several years with age health declines. Due to the one just having seen the vet he is on Rx med & doing okay. It breaks my heart that being retired I cannot afford to have his cataracts removed as he is now totally blind & recently hard of hearing. The one thing I know is not to change any furniture placement as there could be consequences.

Nationwde has been great for Malia.

Malia has an allergy problem which requires daily medication. Without it she is constantly scratching. And nation wide helps with the cost.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
