Claims are handled fast and efficiently!

Each time i’ve reached out to customer service with questions, my calls have always been handled with courtesy and professionalism, and I feel that my pet’s health is very important, and that I am appreciated as a customer. I love that the claim process is so easy and efficient and direct deposit is an option to receive reimbursements.

Rough start, but easy once you understand what they require.

Fantastic insurance, a little on the pricey side but worth it. They covered a great deal of my expenses with my puppy for just about everything minus grooming related things. The only thing that sucks is that they don't exactly tell you what they need from you before you submit your first claim, so it can be a bit of a pain to get that going. Once you get everything squared away, you get reimbursed quickly. My only suggestion is to include grooming services, i'd happily pay more to have that included.

I recommend Nationwide to all my friends

I purchased this insurance before I brought my puppy home and I very pleased. The customer service representatives are very helpful and knowledgeable. My puppy, now going on two, has been able to have the care she has needed to thrive with the help of Nationwide.

Dependable But Unrealistic Reimbursement

Overall, Nationwide is very responsive in processing claims and providing service. Their service representatives are knowledgeable. The caution I would provide is to ensure you are very careful about plan selection as so many fee schedules (maximum amount paid for testing and management of a condition) is unrealistically low and not at all in line with any fees of veterinarians. Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
