Quick and easy to work with Nationwide

I love being able to submit the claims thru Vitus Vet app. This app is super simple to use and is much faster than doing the old paper version and faxing it in. quick turn around getting payment made back to me, too. One thing i would like to see added to the app would be an update like when your claim is; submit, pending review, review in progress, finalized. Something like that would be awesome.

My little Dolly is doing great - good to know that Nationwide has our back.

Dolly had some serious dental issues. She had surgery, extractions and teeth cleaning and polishing along with a battery of blood tests. Nationwide took good care of us and settled our claim within three weeks. It's comforting to know that as my little lady gets older, Nationwide has us covered. Thank you Nationwide.

Fantastic on every end...fair, kind, responsive, timely...I deal with insurance companies (for humans) a lot in my line of work, and I am generally distrustful and critical of them so this review means a lot!!

Nationwide Pet Insurance has been a lifesaver for my pet who suffers from skin allergies!

I am thankful for my whole pet wellness program. If the claim reimbursement process could be sped up a bit that would be great. Other than that I love having this peace of mind with my pet.

I have not had any issues with claim filing with Nationwide.

I have not had any issues with claim filing with Nationwide. Sometimes the time to process claims is longer than expected but they have always been fair with reimbursement.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
