Great Customer Service

Call to check if chemo and/or radiation were covered on my policy for my precious, little dog. The lady I talked to was very helpful and I was pleased to find out that that he will have coverage for his treatment.

Best company a person could ask for!

I am so thankful for Nationwide Pet Insurance. The ease of filing claims is awesome!!! Review and reimbursement has been surprisingly fast. Thank you guys for helping cover the cost of my fur baby’s issues. I am so thankful and can’t thank you guys enough!!!

Better Coordination with VitusVet

We tried submitting our claim through the VitusVet app per the suggestion of Nationwide. However, there was no confirmation email for the submission for the claim and then it did not show up in our account after 48 hours so we submitted the claim via email (per the previous method). Only later after a week, did we see the VitusVet claim register in our account. It created confusion and multiple duplicate claim submissions.

SO FAR I HAVE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS INSURANCE

For dealing with any Insurance company can be very problematic, however so far this Insurance has been better than human Insurance.LOL I have not yet had to have any surgeries so I hope I do not and if I do I hope every thing goes as smoothly as even just a regular check up. Keep up the Great work Nationwide!

Fast claim service

My dog Pearl went in for teeth cleaning and wound up needing a tumor and some teeth removed. Nationwide made it so easy to submit her claim and I got reimbursed quickly.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
