Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

I have advocated for pet insurance to friends and strangers alike for many years. To me it’s similar to our own health insurance in that you hope you never need to use it but if you do need it, especially for a serious injury or disease, it’s there to hopefully make a likely stressful situation a little more tolerable. Plus they help with the routine things as well like annual vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, lab work etc. With previous pets I’ve had to deal with serious disease without insurance and I’d much rather have the insurance knowing I should be reimbursed some portion for treatment etc. Hope this helps whoever may read it.

Our dog, Mollie, had to have surgery and it ended up being much more complicated than anyone expected leading to an overnight stay with a difficult recovery. While her experience was stressful for everyone, it was a huge relief for us to not have to worry about the extra cost. We were able to use a specialist at an emergency vet hospital as opposed to going with a cheaper option thanks to having great insurance coverage. Mollie's surgery was successful and her quality of life has greatly improved! This insurance has been worth every penny!

I love your company. My only issue is that my premiums went up like 30% and I spoke with family members whom I recommended to your coverage and they didn’t have their premiums increase.

For some reason it took 29 days to reimburse for dog food, but only 6 days for a vet visit, but the vet visit was not correctly reimbursed and when I submitted additional documentation, I received no confirmation, it is not showing in the claims section, and when I called I was told it would take an additional 30 days just to review the additional information that was submitted. Not sure how this is even remotely considered halfway decent customer service
