Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

Nationwide Whole Pet has been a good policy for us. The coverage is good and hoping they don't make any more changes to the existing plans.

It took three months to get our dog's claims paid, though the services were clearly covered. When we called to find out why this was the case, the customer service was not helpful at all. One employee even hung up on me when I was very politely asking how many times the claim could be delayed and what the reason for the delay was. We ended up having to make a complaint to the state insurance commissioner before the claim was paid.

Every time we submit a claim the process is very easy. Even this particular time I did not write a diagnosis and the claim needed to be resubmitted and that too was clearly stated and easy to do.

You have a partial pre-filled claim readily available for each claim, you attach the receipt from the vet, email them to Nationwide and within 30 days you have your reimbursement waiting for you. It's the easiest process which is greatly appreciated. If you're hesitant in buying insurance for your pet, don't be. It will be the best investment you can make for your pet and Nationwide is definitely on your side!
