Cost
It is concerning that the cost of the insurance has risen due to the dog's age (6). We spend a great deal on preventative care which is not covered and the dog is quite healthy now. It seems that there should be some kind of discount when all of the preventative measures are taken. The cost of the insurance most likely is precluding many people from managing the preventative care so that there is a lesser chance of the animal contracting most serious disease which runs up the cost all of the way around. I have to say that I am shopping around for plans that will provide the same coverage, but at a lesser cost. There needs to be an encouragement for people to rescue animals from shelters without having to pay such a high price for adequate care.
