It's Easy

I love the overall coverage and easy app claim submission. Nationwide came through with its promise on keeping my kitten's first year health expenses affordable. In my kitten's first year we had 2 office visit to make sure she's fine, 2 or 3 vaccine shot appointments, 1 pre surgery blood test and 1 spaying operation. All those visits for my very healthy kitten can easily be $1,000 or more. Nationwide was there for all of it. Any questions from Nationwide was handled between them and my vet. I just deal with the reimbursement checks 3 to 4 weeks later. Can't beat that level of service.

Fantastic!

I have had my pet insurance for Bella, since she was a puppy. She is now 11 years old. Having insurance has made a huge difference in her overall care. I had it on another Chi Penny, but we lost her to CHF. We now have another Chi, Gia she is almost 3 and yes we have insurance for her as well. I would highly recommend this insurance company because of the low premium, low deductible, and the ease of submitting claims and turn around time on payment electronically.you can't go wrong with this insurance. Customer since 2008.

Payment Processing

When I first began coverage four years ago processing claims were very quick. Now I am told it takes up to 30 days. This is way too long.

Romeo has had insurance since he was a year old. I have been very pleased with the service. I have not only informed his vet I have informed friends with dogs about the insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
