Getting pet insurance was the best decision I ever made for my dog!
I bought pet insurance for my dog and about 4 months later she tore her ACL. I could never have had the surgery without the insurance and she is currently recovering and so happy. She is very active so living with the injury was painful and would have really affected her quality of life. Filing the claim was easy and whenever I called, the representatives were helpful and professional. Going forward, I will always get pet insurance for every pet I ever own!

Thank God we have Nationwide!!
We provide the best care we can for our Henry and Nationwide makes that possible. We just filed a claim for a little over $1,000 and Nationwide picked up over$900. Without Nationwide Henry would not get this care. We love him so much that we provide the very best. Nationwide IS on your side. T

Good care just long wait for reimbursement
They do well with coverage but you often have to walk through the list of diagnosis with the the vet to see the terms that would be covered. The reimbursement “may take up to 30 days” but often will take 30 days.

I wish my insurance was as good as my dog's.
So happy with Nationwide Pet Insurance. The claims are filled out by my vet and reimbursements are timely. The explanation provided on the user website provides explanation for each line item if it was not reimbursed or was partially reimbursed. Customer service is fantastic. I've only used the vet helpline once but was pleased with the consultation I was provided.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
