Nationwide | Pet Insurance Review

We got Bailey, a puppy, at 7 weeks old. He has had a few bumps in the road and several well checks and shots his first year. THANK GOODNESS for Nationwide Insurance. We would not have been able to afford the bills accumulated by his curiosity! This insurance covered his well checks and Emergency Visits. I researched the numerous options before purchasing and landed on this. I was still uncertain when I bought it, but am grateful I did. It has paid for itself easily and is worth the cost (which is reasonable). I am so glad I made the choice I did. Nationwide is hands down the best insurance overall.

Rated this a 5 under ease of claim because this was not actually a claim. It was a call to obtain information on how to file a claim when the diagnosis and prognosis resulted in performing euthanasia on the pet. Needed info on what vet services covered, death benefit claim and policy cancellation/premium refund etc. Also needed information on overage of a follow-up visit to vet by the euthanized pet's sibling littermate to check whether the same malady might be.developing in him. So it was not a pleasant task to make the call and the Nationwide customer service agent was very compassionate and provided very good advice and instruction on how to pursue the claim online
