I was very happy with the speed and efficiency of making the claim and receiving compensation

I’m amazed at the promptness and efficiency of Nationwide. I also enjoy receiving newsletters and hints from them. Especially enjoyed entering my pet in the Easter contest and all communications from Nationwide. I’m needless to say very impressed with the service!!

Very impressed.

I continue to be extremely impressed with nationwide pet insurance. They have an efficient and easy way to submit claims online, update the status of the claims right away, and usually receive reimbursement within 30 days. Very impressive.

New policies are Worthless

I have 2 English Bulldogs w/2 different policies. Although I wish I could've started my 16 month old on the policy my 3 yr old is on, I couldn't. I selected what I thought was similar because it was the best, available, option when enrolling. Well, I just had a $1500 bill for neuter- not covered- & a few other procedures. My claim payment- $30! Only the exam was covered? Why- because of a 12 month policy wait period- not on my 3 yr old policy- & items considered Congenital when in fact we ALL know are Hereditary. But don't worry, there's a disclaimer that states the list isn't inclusive as well as the Congenital condition definition includes an 'inherited' note--- which wouldn't an 'inherited' trait be Heredity & NOT Congenital? But you've got that covered w/your contradicting definitions & disclaimers that I'm sure legal was brought in to confirm appropriate so you could rob people of 12 months worth of premium payments--- for NO coverage other than exams & vaccinations/heartworm/flea & tick (which are poisons) . I work for a Fortune 500 company that promotes NW for pet coverage & offers a discount. I truly hope I receive communications from NW to discuss.

Sometimes you are asked to re-send the same information before the claim is finally paid.

Customer service reps are very friendly, but cannot resolve problems when you are being asked to re-send the same veterinary medical records that you’ve already scanned and submitted previously. I think owners should be able to contact the medical reviewers approving the claims to understand what the problem is with the information submitted to support the claim.
