Nationwide is truly on your pet's side!!!

Nationwide is an excellent pet insurance company. The coverage is excellent and the customer service reps are always very helpful. Claims are easy to file and processed in a timely manner. We love Nationwide Insurance. Our dog and cat give it 5 paws up!!

Happy Customer

At a low monthly cost, Nationwide has alleviated so much stress about caring for my dog. Having a dog with separation anxiety is not easy as it is an "invisible ailment.." No vet can really treat it, and it's nearly impossible to dog proof your home, especially in New York City. Knowing that if something happens, Nationwide will take care of us, eases our lives knowing our dog will be okay.

Scarlett Rose the Basset Hound that somehow ate a rock

Our pup ate a rock and had to have surgery. Nation Wide responded to our claim quickly and reimbursed us $2,500 which covered 95% of our cost. We highly recommend Nation Wide and are glad we choose them for our pet insurance

Fast, no frills processing of claims!

The process to file claims is so easy and seamless. I submit my claims via VitusVet app then within 2 weeks, I get my reimbursement with a EOB. Thanks for making it fast and easy!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
