Working with Nationwide Pet Insurance was a pleasant experience
After filing my claim for our bulldog, we were getting worried after a couple months of processing that our puppy’s claim wouldn’t go through. Trusting the process was what we believed in and when we found out the claim was approved, it couldn’t have came at a better time. Thank you Nationwide!

You guys are awesome
We are the parents of Junior (recently passed) Hutz and Jewel. All Boxers and being boxers they have had their share of illnesses and cancer. I don’t know what we would have done without this insurance! When Junior was going through chemo it was a God sent! I told everyone in the animal hospital about you and some got the insurance and others their dogs were to old! I can guarantee that their next pet will have this insurance! As you know our boxers have had numerous cancer surgeries and financially it would have been a nightmare making decisions on their life. Surprisingly Easy to Use and Makes Total Sense for Us
Despite the fact that we have a senior dog with a laundry list of pre-existing conditions, this plan has paid for itself and more. I can submit claims straight from my phone, which is huge. The hardest part is having to call my vet a couple of days after the visit to get the medical notes and it does usually take about 30 days to get the reimbursement, but so far I haven't had to argue about anything I've submitted. The only thing easier would be if Nationwide worked directly with my vet, but for the price I'm happy with the peace of mind it has provided us since we worry far less about how much the trips to the vet will cost.

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
