We have been a customer for about 20 years and will hopefully be a customer for another 20 years!!
For about 20 years we have had great coverage and easy claim submission. Not much more to say other than I wish my health insurance coverage and response time was as fast as this pet insurance is. The only suggestion is that I wish claim turn around time was faster but it's still faster than BCBS so I guess I really can't complain!!
Thanks for taking care of our pets throughout the years...

Good pet insurance but it seems there is a lot they don't allow
It takes a rather long time to get reimbursed and things that I think should be covered are not, but when I do get reimbursed it is very helpful.

Very thankful
Who knew a pup could be allergic to grass? I sure didn't. Am so very thankful that a friend of mine (also a Nationwide customer) recommended insurance for my little Thankful Castiel. He was not quite 18 months when I looked at Nationwide and opted to open our policy. At the time I was thinking for when he was much older, as Maltese are prone to knee problems. Never in my dreams would I have thought that at 4 years of age, he would develop allergies to being outside in the grass ... where he loves to be! ... requiring an allergy shot every 8 to 10 weeks to keep him from chewing his paws bloody. Having Nationwide gives me peace of mind that, no matter what happens with him, my little boy is covered and I don't have to hesitate to take him in. Thank you.

Amazing coverage, fast reimbursement
Nationwide pet insurance is my first experience with pet insurance and I couldn’t be happier. The vitus vet app makes submitting claims a breeze and is a great way to keep track of medical records. I have been reimbursed less than a week after submitting a claim.
Monthly Cost
Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
Coverage
Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
