Extreme Difficulty with Claims

it took almost 6 months to get Nellie's claims paid despite three vet's offices sending extensive records. I have never had this with any of our other dogs. I even sent in all of her adoption papers and vet records prior to our adopting her. i will say that your customer service was very good.

Awesome customer service

Nationwide has been wonderful. We have a 1 year old Doberman who apparently likes to eat things! He ate a Kong toy and had a foreign body obstruction needing emergency surgery and then 6 weeks later had emergency surgery again because he found a popsicle stick and swallowed it whole. Nationwide has been so wonderful to deal with and I am grateful everyday for getting pet insurance for this dog!

Peace of mind...

At first I was apprehensive about buying pet insurance; I know how important it can be if something were to go wrong. I did a lot of research and decided to go with Nationwide. Nationwide has been awesome! My pup has had a few minor illnesses and just knowing she is insured, gives me peace of mind. I plan to hike as much of the Appalachian Trail as I can one day and I know having the insurance is definitely going to make the hike a lot less stressful. Putting in claims is fast and easy and responses are always very quick! I have told my friends about how great it is knowing I have this for her and I hope they take my advice and get the insurance!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
