Very grateful for pet insurance over the past couple of months as Buddy has been experiencing food intolerance issues and allergies. We are trying to determine what may be causing his GI upset. He is now on a hypoallergenic food and this seems to be helping for now. Thank you so much for accepting claims so easily and paying them so quickly. Vet care is not cheap.

Worst Pet Insurance Ever!
This is the worst pet insurance ever! I made payments to have my 4 year old lab insured for over a year. She developed a fatty growth on their leg (which is common in labs). We paid out of pocket to get it removed in expectation that the insurance we have on her would reimburse the surgery cost. I faxed over all the needed paperwork 3 times and they said they still did not have enough information. 6 months later I still did not get reimbursed her vet bill. I received another letter in the mail stating they needed another 30 days to review the claim (as if a half a year wasn’t long enough). I called them and they told me after looking into the claim they decided to deny our claim and not pay us any money. They said that it was a “pre-existing” condition, which is a lie. I was so angry to have waited a half a year and go through all this hassle just to get denied. I instantly canceled my dog’s insurance with them.

Easy claim process
I am so glad I have pet insurance. I was with another pet insurance company before and my friend told me of the ease of filing claim with nationwide and that they offer wellness as well. I switched over to nationwide. Recently one of my dogs is diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Nationwide had send my reimbursement within a week after I filed my claims after I meet my deductible. They paid even my dogs hypothyroidism rx as well

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage.
The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Other plans may have age restrictions.
Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
