Outstanding Service!

This is my first time to have health insurance for a pet, and I purchased it primarily as financial protection for any major accidents or illnesses. Although Dexter is a young and healthy pup, he's had some trouble with an especially tenacious ear infection, and what could have proven a very costly condition for us to treat has been reimbursed very quickly, allowing us to focus on getting Dexter better so he can get back to all his favorite puppy activities.

Provides peace of mind and claims process is simple

I am glad I have pet insurance through Nationwide. I can't say I'm prepared for a major accident or illness with my dog so paying for insurance every month is the way to go, for me. The claims process is simple and the turnaround on claims payment is prompt.

Claims processed incredibly fast!

The last thing you want to think about when you have a sick pet is the cost of helping them out. Nationwide pet insurance reimbursed us for Jameson’s surgery in less than a week. Incredible customer service as well!

Very helpful and caring.

Having Nationwide for pet insurance is one of the best decisions I have made for my dog. She is my son's service dog and the efficiency, dental and care provided by Nationwide was excellent. If you dont have pet insurance already, get it!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
