Easy and a lifesaver

My Golden is a service dog so we need to keep on in tip top healthy. Having this insurance is a life saver because it enables us to do whatever is necessary to keep our pup healthy.

Outstanding service

Working with Nationwide was very easy, allowing me to focus on what was most important, my sick puppy. Submitting my claim was straightforward and Nationwide provided reimbursement exactly as expected. Nationwide was recommended by my veterinarian for excellent customer service and I’m am very happy with my choice to purchase insurance through Nationwide.

Nationwide pet insurance is the smartest thing I’ve ever done.

I cannot recommend this pet insurance enough. Their customer service is great and they’ve covered every claim with no question all the while having me paid back in no more than a week. I have an older dog, who I’d do anything for no matter what, but it is so nice to have the peace of mind that he’s covered financially. I suggest anyone with a pet acquire this insurance. It’s the best Decision I’ve ever made.

Just a little snag this time (see below). But you handled it well.

Just one little snag. The staff at my vet's office sent the request in to you the day after the treatment (which they had done with all treatments related to her indulent ulcer), and apparently it had never arrived. When I finally realized that I hadn't heard from you, I called. You requested that I call our vet and have the info, and bill, faxed to you again. They did. The check arrived within a few weeks. P.V.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
