Good For Keeping Pets Healthy Year Round

Nationwide Pet Insurance has given me a lot of peace of mind when it comes to my dog's health. She'll have minor allergy flare ups depending on the season and it's nice to be able to take her to the vet for treatment without having to worry about cost.

You made a stressful time easier

Our Bichon had a bout of Pancreatitis and spent approximately 3 days being hospitalized at our vets office. It is so stressful having our baby in the hospital. It was so nice to know we didn't have to worry about getting her claims processed in a timely fashion. We want to thank you for so promptly paying her vet bills.

Fast and easy process

This was my first time using the insurance claim for my Tyson when I had to take him to the vet after he became ill. He is now doing a lot better. The process of submitting my claim was easy and fast I saved a lot of money.

Proud Pet Owner of 2 Puppies - Very Pleased with Claims Customer Service

Hello - I have submitted a couple of claims for my Rottweiler puppy and have been extremely pleased with the ease of submitting a claim, as well as the processing time to receive reimbursement. The customer service reps who I have spoken to have all been pleasant and very helpful over the phone. I have told friends and other pet owners about how great my experience has been with Nationwide.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
