Claim payments have improved 100%

I recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance to everyone O speak with. I gave a very high recommendation to my vet, Rensselaer Pet Care. Customer service could use some work with individuals out payment of claims has improved. When VIP claims were paid within a week, Nationwide was at least 3 weeks, the last two claims have been paid very quickly, so great job on correcting this issue. Keep up the great work! I continue to be your advocate!

Good safety net

Overall I am pleased that we have Nationwide pet insurance and the claims have been getting processed much more quickly of late. The only thing I find frustrating is how broad the definition of ‘pre-existing’ is-it can cause multiple claims to be denied due to falling under this umbrella clause even if the actual condition had never been diagnosed prior to insurance coverage

Samson’s recovering

Although most years our three cats don’t have any medical issues it seems like each year one of them has multiple issues. This years was our Samson but he’s definitely getting back to being his old self.

Nationwide is on your side...

Being a responsible "parent" of your best friend it is strongly recommended to have a good health coverage for them. In this case a cost of necessary medical treatment will not come as a shock and the coverage with a reputable company provides you with a piece of mind. Of course it does not come free, however it will be clearly explained what and how it is covered. And hopefully you will not need to use it, however if you do, you do not have to choose between providing needed care for your best friend or paying you mortgage..

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
