We sometimes complain about the amount we pay for insurance and I agree, it is expensive but if I didn't have it just a few weeks ago, I would have lost my dog Kaos. She had eaten a small stuffed toy, first time EVER, and she would have died if I didn't have the reassurance that I would get some, if not almost all, of the monies back from my policy. $3500 later and with surgery complete, she is perfect today and I am super happy that the claim was processed quickly and without delay. My. City is in a state of emergency, I have 5 insured dogs who only have one HW pill each. I have been told I am not able to buy and submit a claim because I have to wait until May 1st with my new policy. My vet is anticipating closing her office due to the pandemic and has advised of potential drug shortages. If she is closed or the drug I use is not available I won’t heart worm pills for my dogs! I’m upset that there is no solution besides me paying out of pocket and not being reimbursed or waiting and hoping my vet is back to regular hours and the product doesn’t have a shortage. I don’t think it’s a fair position to be in. I pay nearly $4,000 a year for this insurance!

I called the vet line when Tank started feeling bad. They were very kind and reassuring. They took their time answering all of my questions and were patient. I ended up having to take him to the vet. Filing the claim was very easy and received my money back very quickly. I have referred many people to Nationwide.

Nationwide made it stress free after my pup had double acl surgery. I received the claim amount within a week or so which eased the financial stress from her procedure. Nationwide has always followed through on their commitment to provide excellent service.
