Great service.

The service is great but the older your pet gets, the more they charge. By 11 years old I'm thinking is it worth it?

Thank dog for Nationwide Pet Insurance!

I’m so happy I insured my two pitty mixes with Nationwide. It gives me peace of mind knowing that if one of them gets hurt or becomes ill that I don’t have to worry about an unexpected expense. The claim process is super easy and they can be seen by any veterinarian. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Made a stressful time so much easier

My 2 yo cat, Finn, ate an acorn. Because it is really hard to see organic material on scans, it took five days of vomiting, not eating and vet visits to find the (completely indigested!) acorn. Then came the surgery. It meant a lot that whenever my vet suggested something, I could say "it's fine, he has insurance." He recovered from surgery remarkably well and very quickly. The fact that we were reimbursed before we could even take off the e-collar was amazing. Thank you all so much!

Nationwide is by my pet's side - always.

We have been Nationwide Pet Insurance customers since early 2017, and I will never go back to owning a pet without Nationwide. From the first claim to the most recent claim, Nationwide has been fair, honest, and quick with our claims regarding Franklin. We recently adopted a second Doberman and I automatically contacted Nationwide to insure her. This is the best insurance plan we can find. It is not cheap, but neither is owning two Dobermans.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
