Don’t know

Was thankful for the coverage for Heides allergy business. But am requesting a review of a denial for what they said was a pre existing condition. As she almost died of hemorrhagic gastro enteritis.. was in the hospital for 2 days... they denied the first visit to the vet saying she had this as a pup. Her diarrhea as a pup was related to food allergies. This condition my vet thought was caused by pain medication after surgery. I think Nationwide has too many disclusions. But will stay with them for now as I am fighting this denial. I would have lost my dog if it weren’t for the Animal hospital. The cost was very high and the reason I have pet insurance is that I did loose a dog to this exact diagnosis. There is no known cause for this but it’s horrible. So am waiting for their decision on this review.

I am so grateful for Nationwide! Do not know what I would have done without it!

The Nationwide Pet Insurance program has been wonderful. As a first time dog owner it has given me such a peace of mind! To have the 24/7 vethelpline has also been a lifesaver. I have been able to ask questions before deciding whether or not I need to go to the vet! This has been so amazing for me and pet! Would recommend to anyone!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
