Emergency clinic visit

Our dog was vomiting and having diarrhea all day and into the night. We brought her to our vet during the day. But in the middle of the night she did not look right and was very pale, so we brought her to a 24 hours emergency clinic. They ran more test and let her stay there for a short while. After she was stabilized, we went home. We are so glad to have Nationwide Insurance!

There is never any hassle when submitting a claim. The process is easy and the staff working on the claims are efficient.

Signing my dogs up with Nationwide Insurance was the best decision I could have ever made for them and for myself. Their slogan, “Nationwide is on your side” is 100% accurate.

Submitting a claim is easy and reimbursement is fast!

The claims process is easy and I appreciate that reimbursement is made quickly. I'm frustrated that my insurance premiums increase each year...almost $8 per month for the upcoming policy renewal.

Excellent Pet Insurance

We have had Nationwide insurance for over 2 yrs. for our oldest dog. When we adopted a new dog we included her in the premium plan as well. This has been excellent coverage. Submitting a claim is easy and the reimbursement is very timely. We have been very pleased with the coverage. It has allowed us to provide the very best care for our dogs without having to worry about the cost involved.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
