Nationwide is our dog's blessing!

Our dog recently had a benign tumor removed. Thanks to Nationwide Pet Insurance, it helped ease the stress of the surgery on our family because we knew she was covered 90% and as a result got the best care necessary without the worry of expenses. I highly recommend Nationwide which we have continued to use for a number of years now.

Good Experience but took way too long

My review of this situation being our first time using it was not all that great. It was good but took way too long. We submitted a claim back in January, they asked for additional medical information on our pet which was fine, I got that to them within 24hrs and still didn't get reimbursed until March. I understand that it needs to be investigated but it wasn't an out of the ordinary injury. With that said I was pleased with the filling out of the claim and the sight it was easy to navigate and easy to upload documents, and I received emails of my status. I just think the reimbursement part needs to speed up. Thank you

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
