Comprehensive coverage, fast payments

My Lola is 7 years old. She was recently diagnosed with MCT. The diagnostics and treatments were covered and quickly paid. My Lola got the treatment she needed, and my family did not have to struggle with a ton of medical payments. Thanks Nationwide!

Excellent insurance but expensive

I love the Whole Pet with Wellness plan but it is too expensive to get for all my dogs. I was also disappointed when Nationwide stopped offering it to puppies. It is excellent coverage, it is easy to file claims and every customer service agent I have spoken to has been very friendly and helpful. I don't like the revised website though. It is much more difficult to get to where you want to be in your account. The earlier version was more streamlined. Overall, if I could afford the Whole Pet with Wellness plan for all of my 8 dogs, I'd buy it!

Seamless

Nationwide has been wonderful in processing all the claims resulting from parathyroid surgery. The filing process is very easy and payment has been quick. Thank you for being there for our baby.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
