Tip Top and Timely

The claim submission, review and reimbursement process is so easy and quick. I’m constantly singing Nationwide’s praises when it comes to pet insurance. My only dislike is that I have to log in to accept payment once it has been created. I’d much prefer it just go into my linked account without me needing to accept it.

Great coverage and so simple to submit a claim!

I have had several occasions to submit claims to Nationwide for coverage for my Scottie, Bella. Some are for reimbursement for prescription medications. But on 2 occasions it was for medical intervention. Regardless of the reason, the submission process is very simple and Nationwide has always been prompt and responsive to settle the claim. I am so happy that I chose to enroll. It give a real sense of security knowing that I can take care of my previous pet.

Surgery for a fatty tumor

Our slightly older pup had a few fatty tumors that continued to grow and pose health concerns. We did not want to put him through unnecessary surgery, however, it came to the point where the tumors were interfering with his health and quality of life. Between the support from our wonderful vet, and knowing we had the support of VPI Nationwide, it didn't have to be a question!

Very impressed with the quality and care of Nationwide pet insurance

I have been so impressed with the quality of care and service at Nationwide. From the helpful customer service to the ease of filing a claim, I can't say enough positive things about Nationwide insurance.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
