Glad I have this insurance

The claims are processed promptly and I receive the appropriate amount of reimbursement. My only concerns are in relation to what I regard as overly strict limits on reimbursement for treatment of congestive heart failure (as dogs can go into and out of this condition repeatedly) and substantial hikes in premiums due both to recent legislation and the age of the dog. Outside of these concerns, I am very satisfied with the claims process.

Nationwide Pet Insurance

I can't say enough good words about Nationwide Pet Insurance. Their representative are always available and my claims are always paid in a timely fashion. They even send emails to check on my girl to make sure she is doing well. Two thumbs up for Nationwide Pet Insurance!

A lifesaver for pets because filling a claim is so efficient, easy to navigate, and fast to pay!

Nationwide is a great pet insurance to have. They have made the whole claim filing process super easy and for the most part payment is super fast and complete as expected. Sadly my Dash’s huge dental visit was just past the cutoff for last years deductible so I had to pay that ☹️ In addition to the huge amount a dental is for an older dog. B

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
