The claim processing is OK, but the service rating is far below expectations

I have a very hard time to receive an actual reimbursement for my claim. While the Initial reimbursement was approved relatively quickly, the actual check was lost in the mail (or disappeared somehow) and I have to call several times to initiate the investigation. The representatives were not very knowledgeable and I have to explain the situation again and again from the beginning. Finally, I received a check after about 40 days after the initial claimed was approved.

So Glad I have Pet Insurance through Nationwide

Cleopatra (Cleo) started limping at dog park. We thought she hurt her pad, nail, or twisted her ankle. Could not see anything visually and pampered her for a week. It went away. Next trip to dog park she came home lame again. Our concern warranted a trip to the vet. Yes, she had a torn cruciate ligament. Very grateful Nationwide covered this visit.

Peace of mind

Because the cost of veterinarian care is so costly, having insurance gives me peace of mind.

Great insurance, always recommend to exotics owners

(I actually have a guinea pig so I’m hoping this can be adjusted?) I absolutely recommend that guardians of exotic animals insure their animals with Nationwide and find a competent exotics vet, especially now that there is a plan that covers wellness care for exotics. It gives you peace of mind that your precious family member will be covered in the event that vet bills add up (and they can, especially with the tests that are so important for a diagnosis and life-saving care)- it is so critical that exotics are seen promptly and also that they’re seen for routine wellness exams. Nationwide is the only company that covers exotics and the price is VERY reasonable, especially for the good coverage.

Monthly Cost

Policies start at approximately $12 per month.
