Nationwide helped put my mind at ease and made everything easy

When my dog got sick, I worried as vet bills continued to stack up. I had never filed a claim with Nationwide before so I didn't know how much they would agree to cover. After he recovered and I had all my vet bills, I filed a claim with Nationwide to hopefully get some of the money back. The process was easy, they responded quickly, and they covered everything they said they would in their policy. I received a check within two weeks. They saved me so much money, and now I feel more at ease when I need to take care of my pet's health needs. Thank you, Nationwide!

Don't know how I lived without this insurance for so long

I am so pleased with my pet insurance from Nationwide. The claims process is so easy and, now that I have wellness visits included, submitting claims has become even easier and reimbursements have arrived very quickly. Knowing that most of our vet expenses are largely covered is such a huge relief, especially if we are facing any expensive procedures. Are dogs are our babies, so it's extremely important to us that we are able to take care of them.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
