Satisfied customer

I have had MetLife for about 4 years. When I signed up I had the animals on my policy for and a car. All of them were senior and one of my dogs had diabetes. Even though they didn't cover his insulin because he was diagnosed before I signed up they still counted everything else. My cat was diagnosed with kidney disease and my other dog has Cushing's disease. Everyone is them has had many very trips and not once have I had trouble receiving my money. They are pretty fast as well and the app is easy to use. My cat and my diabetic baby have passed and MetLife helps pay for euthanasia and cremation. You might have to come out of pocket at first, but you will get at least 80% back after your deductible. The deductible is only a one time fee for the year and not for each animal. I have my last dog who is 13 years old with Cushing's and her medication is expensive monthly, but with MetLife it is a savior. I have not had any issues and I always submit my invoices and very progress notes right away. It usually takes about 5 to 10 days at the most to get your money and it goes right into my bank account. I wish I would have had insurance when I had my other dog's because it definitely helps a lot. They cover a lot of different things, I recommend checking them out, you won't be disappointed.

Glad I switched

When my old carrier wouldn’t grandfather my new pet into the plan I had been carrying for at least 10 years, my search began. Met Life has met if not exceeded my expectations on coverage and reimbursement.

MetLife Pet Insurance The Scamming Company- Removes Reviews That Affect Them

MetLife The Scamming Company - Removes Reviews That Affect Them Company Will Remove Reviews As Well Second Time Sending in... MetLife The Scamming Company If you're considering MetLife Pet Insurance, save yourself the time, stress, and money—do not sign up. I got this insurance thinking it would help protect my dog, Atom, in the event of an emergency. That turned out to be a complete joke. Atom had to undergo emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage after swallowing a rope—an obvious accident. But MetLife denied the claim, saying it was a “sickness.” Let me repeat that: they claimed swallowing a rope is a sickness. How does that even make sense? And before even reviewing the claim, they tried to say my policy wasn’t active—a blatant lie. I had already paid and had full documentation proving my coverage was in place at the time of the surgery. I sent them five years of vet records, detailed surgical notes, invoices—everything they asked for. Still, they denied the claim. To make things worse, they advertise that claims are processed in 10 business days. Mine dragged on for almost two months. Two months of silence, delays, and back-and-forth nonsense, only to get a denial based on a totally made-up excuse. This company is the definition of predatory. They’ll take your monthly premiums and then twist reality to avoid paying out when it actually matters. The customer service is slow, unhelpful, and either uninformed or intentionally misleading. Based on my experience, it seems MetLife is in the business of collecting premiums and dodging responsibility. MetLife Pet Insurance is not just unreliable—it’s dishonest. If you care about your pets and your peace of mind, look elsewhere. This company failed me and failed my dog when we needed them most. Zero stars if I could.
