We have been very pleased with the product.

We have had to use 2 vets in addition to our primary vet in our pup’s 7 months. Lemonade was great about that! Claims are processed quickly and they are very nice explaining what is not covered on my policy without me having to read it with every claim.

They’re very easy to use and understand. Really fast service with my claims and super nice staff. I have both my pets insured with them.

Pet care is excellent and student Vets do a great job

I am just getting accustomed to filing claims. And I’m beginning to learn what is covered and what is not. That will make filing claims easier to submit and understand reimbursements.

Awesome service.

Filed my first claim, filed on line took just a few minutes, claim was approved within 5 min after I filed and my reimbursement was in the bank in 2 days. I wish every insurance claim was this simple. I was so impressed with Lemonade for my pet that I got my rental insurance thru them as well.

I love the fact that their Customer Service Reps actually know what is going on with a policy, rather than getting the run around to get a simple question answered!! Overall I am very happy with Lemonade in all ways!!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
