Lemonade | Pet Insurance Review

Lemonade insurance is by far the best insurance I have ever had! I started with their renter's insurance and I was so happy with their customer service and their turnaround time for claims., that when the Pet Insurance became available, I knew I had to switch over and add it to my insurance bundle. My dog became very ill one night where we had to take him to the emergency hospital after-hours. The veterinarians had to do an exam, run blood work, use the x-ray machine twice (once initially and once for a follow-up), give him medications, an IV, and so much more. It was obviously a stressful situation with my poor pup but I felt comforted knowing that I was backed up by Lemonade's Pet Insurance. Once I filed my claim, I just needed to provide the medical summary and the invoice that was provided to me from the animal hospital. My claim was approved and the money was in my account 48 hours later. I only had to pay my deductible and the exam, which is not covered (but that is transparent in covered policy document they provide you when signing up). I have had other Pet Insurance companies and their customer service and resolution time takes much longer, with coverages not being transparent so you have to pay much more out of pocket. Lemonade's monthly rates are very competitive and their customer service is superb. I 100% recommend using this insurance company.

I am extremely grateful to Lemonade pet insurance for making the process so simple during an already difficult experience with my pet undergoing surgery. The automated chat feature is really easy to navigate, and once you get in contact with a real human, they are so kind and helpful. I highly recommend!

The benefits of having pet insure were immediate! I was reimbursed for Watson’s flea, tick, and heart worm medication. It was in my bank account the very next day after I submitted the claim! It’s comforting to know that he has the coverage. We have health insurance for all of our family members and Watson deserved it, too!

They took care of my claims quickly and reimbursed very fast. Financially I don’t know what we would have done without them being retired and on a fixed income
