Compassionate

Lemonade has made a huge difference to our family. Our pet had 6.5 years of health until a rare disease suddenly took his sight, and cancer soon after. Every employee I’ve spoke with has exceeded our expectations for kindness, thoroughness, being empathetic, and compassionate. They have listened to me in my triumphs and sorrow. Claim process is easy and quick. Communication by phone and email carried out efficiently. No regrets!

Easiest, Friendliest, all around Bestiest insurance for your pet!

I love Lemonade insurance. The price is inexpensive and the coverage is great! I can submit a claim through the app and it gets approved almost immediately! I get my money in two to three business days and then I’m set for the next year or so. On most of the coverage they also have no deductible options and I would highly suggest that. Even if you have to pay a little extra, very worth it. The customer service is friendly and personable. I have insurance for both of my pets through Lemonade.

Very easy and speedy claim payment

I found the entire process from signing up to putting in my first claim to be very easy and seamless. Payment and claim approval was very speedy as well so far very satisfied!

Monthly Cost

Policies start at $10/Month

Coverage

Accident and Illness coverage, with optional wellness package at reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible.

Payout Limits

Lemonade Pet Insurance benefits cap off between $5,000 and $100,000, depending on how users set up their policy.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll. Lemonade does not terminate coverage for pets as they age.

Waiting Period

All Lemonade pet policies have a series of waiting periods: -2 days for accidents -14 days for illnesses -6 months for cruciate ligament events There is no waiting period for preventative coverage.

Exclusions

Exclusions follow the market standard, so they don’t cover pre-existing conditions; bilateral conditions, dental illness, microchipping; anal gland expression; spaying and neutering; something that happens because of breeding or pregnancy; prescription food; vitamins; and supplements; experimental treatments, or recurring conditions. They will be expanding some of these coverages soon.
