Great experience with HealthyPaws

Great experience with Healthy Paws!
This is the first time I've had to use my insurance for my cat Gracie. She had an unexpected illness and had to be taken to the emergency room. Healthy Paws paid my claim really quickly and it was so easy! Their customer service is fast and attentive. I highly recommend this company! Thanks Healthy Paws!!!!

Pet insurance during a pandemic
I took out my Healthy Paws policy on my adopted poodle in 2017. My wife at the time thought pet insurance was too expensive and cumbersome, but I kept Fast forward to 2020 our 5 yr old poodle Charlie had a traumatic incident where after four visits to the vet then he was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. He required two days of IVs and shots. Addison disease is fatal if not treated. But manageable if treated. Having the policy during the pandemic was a lifesaver. My wife is a believer. Healthy Paws app made claim submission easy and we were able to follow the process. I would highly recommend Healthy Paws.

Monthly Cost
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
