Astronomical rate increase
I had Healthy Paws for 4 years on two dogs that I enrolled as puppies. Rates increased astronomically - my last rate for the two was planned to go from 130 / month to 190. The prior year it had been 90 / month. When I called about it, they suggested I increase my deductible or reduce my percentage. I switched to Pet's Best which is awful on customer service, but the coverage is better (included optional sick visit coverage) and I am paying 100/month for two dogs.

So grateful for healthy paws!
We have had a wonderful experience with Healthy Paws. The process is super simple and easy to understand unlike pet insurance I've used in the past. My dog was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and not having to stress about the cost of her treatment has been a dream come true. She's responding well to the chemo and we are so happy to get more time with her.
Monthly Cost
$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.
Coverage
One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more.
You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.
Deductible
You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750*
*Choice depends on age of the pet
Age Limits
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
