Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

To say that I am thankful to Healthy Paws is an understatement. They literally saved my life and my cat's life. At 6 years old, my little Pitchoun unexpectedly fell ill and had to have a major surgery. He stayed several days at the veterinarian hospital and bills started to pile up. Healthy Paws Insurance has been so easy to deal with in these times of stress. I don't know how I could have gone through this terrible ordeal without them. Not only did they reimburse each bill in a timely fashion, but they went the extra mile, even checking on my cat weeks after the surgery to make sure he was doing fine. Dealing with Healthy Paws is like dealing with a friend or family member. The service is very personal and it is exactly what a customer needs in times of trouble. I have been recommending Healthy Paws Insurance to all my friends who have pets, and will continue to advocate for this wonderful company. Healthy Paws and us go way back... back to the beginning when our pup was only 3 months old. He's 5 now and we've never once had anything coverable by this insurance, (because they only cover select issues). We have however, had our premiums increase OVER 160%, that's a hike of about $1,200 annually. The only response I received when I questioned the enormous increase was that - "there were many other animals within our state that they needed to cover". They will lure you with a low payment up front and quickly jack your rates up without notice and soon you find yourself spending thousands for nothing. Avoid at all costs.

Her policy is quite clear as to what is covered - we pay for exams and 10% of anything else once the deductible is met. We've never had an issue and get paid within a week of a claim. I just recommended healthpaws to a coworker who had to start a gofundme to pay for her dog's recent surgery. It is nice never to have to worry ourselves.

The process for submitting claims is easy, the turnaround time is fast, and the coverage is excellent! In addition to the company's efficiency, they are a compassionate group that answers questions readily and accurately. They also follow up to check on my pet after a major medical situation. I wish that insurance for people was this easy and efficient.
