I would HIGHLY recommend pet insurance and Healthy Paws

We've had a great experience with Healthy Paws and I would HIGHLY recommend pet insurance. I was a bit concerned with the price per month, but I did the math and it seemed like it would be a good investment even if we didn't need it until our dog got old. Turns out we needed it much sooner than expected. Tucker, our Golden Retriever, developed a limp in his front left leg when he was about 6 months old. We hoped it was just growing pains but after a few months we took him to a specialist and it turns out he needed expensive surgery =( Healthy Paws gave us the confidence to find the best specialist in the area and Tucker is now doing great! I submitted the claim online, got zero hassle, and received a reimbursement 2 weeks later. My only feedback for Healthy Paws is that I would love to have a plan that covered more stuff (like consultations) even if it was more per month =)

Healthy Paws has been SO helpful for…

Healthy Paws has been SO helpful for both of my cats. They have each had their share of issues, one broke their hip and the other has gone through a bone marrow test & bladder stone. We are always able to give our cats the highest quality of care because of them. They have made the process of filing a claim so simple and take the time to check on our kitties afterwards as well. Definitely recommend!

Couldn't have done it WITHOUT them!!!

It is my absolute pleasure to share our family's feelings about Healthy Paws. They have been nothing short of miraculous. We have two dogs insured under a long standing policy, a Golden Retriever named Lily and a Golden Collie mix named Lucy. Our sweet Lily is coming up on 11 years this fall. Lily was my first doggy baby. I hadn't grown up with animals. She is my everything. Several years ago, Lily was diagnosed with a seizure disorder. At 75 lbs, her seizures were pretty devastating to behold. Needless to say I had NO idea what we were in for. I think I peed a little when I saw the bill(s) for all the testing. Healthy Paws didn't even FLINCH. I got about 90% of my bills covered, per my plan, and to this day, I continue to get help for her monthly medication. Now that Lily is in the senior category, she's had some things come up, and I continue to be amazed at how easy it is to send in my invoice and get reimbursed. I don't hesitate at the vet when they ask if I'd like to do "ALL the tests." I know that H-Paws is right there with me. I truly can not recommend them enough.

Best dog insurance hands down

I’ve had healthy paws for my accident prone lab retriever since 2017. The customer service is amazing. I’ve only needed to contact them a few times over the years but they were quick to help each time. While their monthly rates for the Chicagoland area have increase over the years, I cannot begin to explain how much they have covered for my dog. They keep it super simple. Just upload the itemized receipt. I take a picture of the receipt while I’m at the vet and just submit that through the app. I’ve been getting reimbursed 80% for everything after the first $250 that I pay for nala. They don’t cover preexisting so it’s good to just get on board with health insurance while your dog is young. Again, we have frequent visits to the vet because nala likes to play so hard and keeps getting hurt, but it feels great to have healthy paws on our side. They honestly are the best.
