Healthy Paws saved the day!

I signed up for the insurance back in February. I was hoping never to need it but figured it was a good safety net. In July my dog was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes needing surgery. The cost was over 4,000, and I was thinking that the insurance may try to find a reason to deny it. We did the surgery and submitted the claim. A week later my 90% reimbursement was approved no problem! I was so pleasantly surprised. I've had a loss of income due to Covid, and this has been an amazing experience. Healthy Paws saved the day for me!

After only 5 months of being a customer of Healthy Paws, my dog was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. He required surgery costing almost $4,300. I've lost income due to Covid, and this was a cost I was definitely not expecting. I submitted the claim, and less than a week later it was approved! I thought there may be some kind of issue, but they approved it no problem. Thank you so much Healthy Paws!!!

Great value and exceptional customer service

HealthyPaws Pet Insurance

We were first time purchasers of pet insurance. After reviewing the offerings of several companies we chose HealthyPaws because of their plans and customer service reviews. HealthyPaws was our choice because of the unlimited yearly and lifetime benefits, extremely small list of exclusions and once yearly deductible. Our dog required surgery ($4200) after being on the plan for eight months. We submitted our claim online and it was approved within one day; we received a payment for $2800+ a few days later. HealthyPaws even inquired about our dogs recovery after the surgery.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
