I am so happy we decided to get pet…

I am so happy we decided to get pet insurance for our new puppy! It has already saved us a lot of money! Our little pup was hospitalized for 3 days and the bill added up very quickly. Knowing we have pet insurance made our decision to get him the best care and move forward with treatment without the stress of wondering how we would pay the bill. It is so nice having that piece of mind. The claim process was easy and I received 80% of the bill within a few weeks! I'm thrilled with Healthy Paw pet insurance and would recommend them to anyone with a dog.

Always there for you

Worth the cost

I've unfortunately had to file a couple of claims in the past two months. The first claim took a couple of weeks (which they tell you) because they have to gather all medical records. I recently filled a second claim. The following day I received an email that the claim was approved. The next day, the money was deposited into my account. Great service!

Healthy paws has supported me and my pup beyond expectations. Claims are processed fast and fair, your refund arrives quickly, and I have never had to dispute anything. When I have had to talk to representatives, I never felt like I was talking to an insurance company that was "out to get me". I have been talking to gracious folks who care more about getting my pup the helps he need more than making sure I'm a net profit. Dealing with Healthy Paws has been nothing but wonderful, and I am thankful to be their customer. I am equally grateful for all their employees that have supported me. I will be a lifelong customer.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
