I highly recommend Healthy Paws.

My pointer has had multiple medical issues including an operation to put a plate in her leg. She recently had a reaction to a spider bite that was very serious. Healty Paws was there for me through out it all. The claims were paid promptly with absolutely no hassle. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fast/Easy Claim Processing

We have had Healthy Paws since we got out first dog 5 years ago. We have had several claims during that time and can't say enough about Healthy Paws. Claims are very easy to submit- you just upload a full copy of the itemized receipt. They have always processed our claims timely (within 10 days, but often even faster) and sent detailed explanation of the benefits available to us. The reimbursement checks always arrive very quickly once the claim is processed, which is especially helpful for any large claims. Would certainly recommend.

Best Decision

Having pet insurance for my dog, Dexter from the day I brought him home is one of the best financial decisions I’ve ever made. Choosing Health Paws is the best. They have paid every claim (and there have been many) exactly as I expected, quickly and easily. Dexter has been “blessed” with ear trouble, allergies and now a bum knee but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. With Healthy Paws, I have been able to give him the treatment he needs without breaking the bank. When comparing insurance companies, look beyond the premium cost and really investigate the policy coverage, especially for chronic problems, because it carries greatly.

Fast Claims processing

We recently had some unexpected (expensive) health issues; happy to say Healthy Paws came through - turnaround time for processing claims was so quick! We had quite a few claims, but it is such an easy process - upload a copy of the invoice, and within 2 weeks, you get your reimbursement - sometimes it was within days! & they sent a follow up email to see how we were doing, which I thought was a nice touch. I was originally reluctant about purchasing insurance, but glad we did and that we chose Healthy Paws.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
