Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

After much research, I selected Healthy Paws pet insurance after rescuing my two puppies. Since they were rescues, I didn’t know what to expect from a medical background. I am so thankful for Healthy Paws services, professionalism and responsiveness. They are always very quick to process your claims. My one rescue was only 6 months when we learned she was going to need very expensive elbow surgery. Healthy Paws made an impossible decision so much easier. Without them, we would have not been able to afford the surgery. The ongoing prognosis required ongoing medication, all of which has continued to be covered. I fully expected, as with most human insurance companies, things to get denied or pushed back. This never happened as long as it was under the coverage. They don’t cover exams and well pet costs, but that is what you sign up for as a pet parent. You don’t sign up for making heartbreaking decisions between helping your pet when they are in pain or sick and your finances. Healthy Paws gives you the freedom and independence to make sure you can always do what is right for your pet. Most recently, my same dog had a mass removed and they followed up with a personalized email asking how she was doing. This is a company that truly cares about pets, their customers, and making sure the best care is received. I’m so thankful I found them and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Got my pup in March of 2020 and went with Healthy Paws insurance. Absolutely No complaints. EASY to submit a claim, EXTREMELY fast turnaround in payment. The app is super easy to use as well. Im glad I got the insurance because my pup has been having a rough time this year with some stomach issues. I don't know how future years will be but this year having the insurance was well worth it! Hope yo not have to use it year after year but it is good to know its there, you just never no. My monthly payment isn't too bad either. Comes out to about just a couple of cents over a dollar a day! Worth the peace of mind. The costumer service is excellent. In the beginning (being new to pet insurance I had questions) I called and a representative answered my questions patiently. ALSO, I got a random email from Healthy Paws asking how my pup was doing and hoped he felt better. That was a nice surprise. I am completely satisfied with my choice of pet insurance.

We have been with Healthy Paws for almost 5 years. To be honest, our rates have gone up quite a lot since the beginning, but we are are so grateful that we have insurance with Healthy Paws! We can always chose what we think is the best and healthiest thing for Honey rather than focus on what is the least expensive route. Healthy Paws has always been quite fair in considering our claims and usually we have gotten the funds very quickly. Just recently, our sweet Cavalier King Charles had a broken tooth and needed x-rays, blood work and dental surgery with anesthesia. Healthy Paws covered our claim quickly and without much ado. And, believe it or not, we got an email from the company's owners asking if Honey was doing OK after her surgery! How thoughtful and unexpected! Unfortunately, the vets discovered a heart murmur at that time and we needed an echocardiogram and now we see ourselves faced with more bills and more importantly, more worries and angst about our doggie. We are so lucky that we have Healthy Paws since we have one less HUGE worry- the vet bills- since we know from experience that the company will stand up to their commitment to pet health. Frankly, I feel fortunate that we can choose to get her the best care and it still be affordable. Thank you Healthy Paws! I wish I could give you 10 stars.

I was hesitant to purchase pet insurance, but chose Healthy Paws. Filing my first claim was easy. They responded right away, kept me informed as they reviewed the claim. Payment was received within 7 to 10 days. They even followed up on my Pet’s health. I highly recommend them.
