Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I have had this insurance for the past 22 months when I got my new puppy. I put in an address change today and was told that my insurance went up from $38.00 per month to $48.00 per month. I filled out a form for as a new pet owner with the same breed (scottie dog) and age and was told the rate would be $31.00 per month with a $250 deductible instead of the $200.00 deductible that I have. They will not change mine!!! I would have to reapply to get the cheaper rate!!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! The punish people that already have the insurance.

We have had a great experience with Healthy Paws. The app is so easy to use! The claim review process is fast and reimbursements are deposited quickly. A representative from Healthy Paws even emailed us to check in on our dog after we had to bring him to the animal hospital suddenly. Such a nice touch!

Our totally healthy 1-year-old golden retriever, Charlie, dislocated his hip while running in the woods behind our house. We were with him, and we saw him leap into the air and just tumble to the ground in pain. We have had many dogs, but we never saw anything like this. It was just bad luck. Healthy Paws was there when we needed them. We did our part by keeping vet appointments, submitting documents, and doing our best as pet parents. Sometimes even your best means an accident or illness, and when that happens, you are going to want insurance! Healthy Paws reimbursed us exactly as they said they would, and I really can't imagine what we would have done without them. I encourage everyone to sign up for Healthy Paws so that, should your pet fall ill, you don't have to make hard decisions but can pursue the best care. We hope we never have to file another claim, but thank goodness if we do, we have Healthy Paws!

I'm so thankful for Healthy Paws! They have been a blessing during this unexpected time. When I got pet insurance, I never imagined having to use it as extensively as I have over the last month. When Baylor got sick and it took several weeks, several vet appointments, 5 medicines and a trip to the ER for an ultrasound for the experts to get to the bottom of what was wrong. When your pet is sick the last thing you want to do is worry about the expense. You just want her to get better. And that's what I did. You can imagine how the bills racked up. Even though I knew I had insurance, I wasn't convinced that it would work for 'big things' like this. After each treatment, I submitted the receipt online, which literally takes less than a minute, and took a wait and see approach. No expectation. Not only did Healthy Paws cover their portion of EVERY treatment & medicine that they said they would, they approved my claims in less than 36 hours (typically it was the next day) and deposited the reimbursement a day after approval. I was and still am in shock. No one plans for thousands of vet bills. And yet Healthy Paws swooped in to help. AND they reached out to me to check on Baylor! I am eternally grateful for Healthy Paws. If you are looking for pet insurance, they are the obvious choice.
