Easy, quick and excellent customer service!

I have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for over a year now and I just had to use it for the first time when my pup got bit by a rattlesnake in my backyard. Not having used a pet insurance before, I thought the process of submitting a claim would be long and annoying. I was pleasantly surprised when all I had to do was attach a photo of the emergency vet invoice. Once they reviewed my claim, they sent the reimbursement immediately and I got it within just a few days. They also reached out to me to check in and see how my pup was going doing which I did not expect at all, and I really appreciated it. 10/10 recommend Healthy Paws!

Very happy with Healthy Paws

This is my first experience with pet insurance. I purchased it for my adopted cat, hoping I would not have to use it. However, there have been 2 emergencies in the past year. The claims process is very easy online, and reimbursement has been very quick. My company recently started offering pet insurance as a benefit, but the service has been so good I wouldn't think of changing.

Healthy Paws saved my dogs life

About five weeks ago our 6 year old Newfoundland came in from outside and had obviously bloated and probably torsioned. I called the er and let them know we were on our way and what was probably wrong. She had a 360 degree torsion and her spleen had torsioned. She was stabilized and then operated on and the spleen removed. Survival for a partial torsion is 50/50. They pulled her through. A cost of $10,000 plus. A friend that is an er nurse told me problems from surgery usually doesn’t show up from 7-14 days. She said to take her temp twice a day at the same time and record it on a calendar. On day 8 her temperature started to drop. I called and we took her back to the er. On the way there her condition change to crying in pain. They took her in and her condition was sliding downhill quickly. They called us to come say goodbye. Her blood pressure was 30. When we got there her pressure was up to 90 so there was a ray of hope. Three times the cost had gone up since she got there. She now had an IV in each leg with three of them each having a different antibiotic. She did pull through at another $8,000 plus. We could not have been able to do this without Healthy Paws. My only complaint is that my plan is no longer available to new Newfoundland owners. Another plus is they pay quickly.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience

Our little Chihuahua/Terrier Hercules broke his leg pretty badly a few weeks ago jumping off the bed and we had to take him in for emergency treatment, followed by surgery a few days later to put a plate and screws in to repair his fracture. It was a scary, stressful and not to mention COSTLY experience. Thankfully, we have Healthy Paws insurance for Hercules! This was the first time we've had to file a claim and the process was so easy - just upload a picture of our invoices from the vet and send over his medical records. That's IT! Our claims were processed within a week and we received payment yesterday. On top of which, the Healthy Paws team has kindly reached out to check on Hercules and make sure he's doing well. This is the kind of excellent treatment that will make us a life long customer. Thank you for making a very challenging situation so much easier, Healthy Paws!
