Healthy Paws | Pet Insurance Review

I'm so thankful for Healthy Paws! They have been a blessing during this unexpected time. When I got pet insurance, I never imagined having to use it as extensively as I have over the last month. When Baylor got sick and it took several weeks, several vet appointments, 5 medicines and a trip to the ER for an ultrasound for the experts to get to the bottom of what was wrong. When your pet is sick the last thing you want to do is worry about the expense. You just want her to get better. And that's what I did. You can imagine how the bills racked up. Even though I knew I had insurance, I wasn't convinced that it would work for 'big things' like this. After each treatment, I submitted the receipt online, which literally takes less than a minute, and took a wait and see approach. No expectation. Not only did Healthy Paws cover their portion of EVERY treatment & medicine that they said they would, they approved my claims in less than 36 hours (typically it was the next day) and deposited the reimbursement a day after approval. I was and still am in shock. No one plans for thousands of vet bills. And yet Healthy Paws swooped in to help. AND they reached out to me to check on Baylor! I am eternally grateful for Healthy Paws. If you are looking for pet insurance, they are the obvious choice.

It is so easy to submit a claim, I could do it on my phone in just a couple clicks. The Healthy Paws team was so great and timely during my dog's surgery and post op appointments. They even followed up after appointments to see how she was recovering. It really feels like they care.

I can't thank Healthy Paws enough for how easy they make the tough times. My dog was just diagnosed with cancer. My claims so far just for tests/diagnosis total $3000.00. Healthy Paws processed them within days - no questions asked. Thank you Healthy Paws for being there for us!!!

When I first got my Dog, Bailey, I knew that this time around I would get some Pet Insurance for him. My last little dog did not have any and it was financially stressful towards the end of her life so I decided to insure my baby just like I would myself. However, I never thought I would be put in a position to have to use it to this extent. Bailey was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease last year which escalated to a Chord rupturing inside his heart back in March and I almost lost him. He's not that old, he will be 10 this fall, so this having happened at 9 years old has been rough. He is healthy in every other way except this failing heart. We have been through a lot of life changes now as well as having a surgery that has helped him quite a bit and I could not have done any of it without Healthy Paws. Especially during this Global Pandemic which has me unemployed indefinitely, they have been a lifesaver for me. I recall another company I was with prior to this not being this helpful to deal with. HP has reimbursed me and quickly for everything they said they would and their customer service has been truly outstanding. I really feel like there are a ton of just downright animal lovers here and that they really care. My premium jumped up quite a bit end of last year, but it has still been more than worth having given the expenses we have now.. He is on permanent medications now and some of them are not cheap. I couldn't get him through this difficult time without this Insurance. Many thanks to everyone at Healthy Paws for helping my little boy get more out of his life!

I would and have definitely recommended this company. When my 3 year old dog ended up in emergency care for 4 days I was extremely worried and scared about her, but thankfully, I did not have to worry about the bill because I found out that healthy paws actually does exactly what they advertise.
