I can't believe that I needed to file a claim right after the waiting period was over. It was easy to file and when I called for questions everyone was extremely helpful. The claim was processed quickly and they even followed up to see how my puppy was doing. I would recommend them to all my pet families/friends.

I wouldn’t do it and I only called for a quote
I called to ask about a quote and what the term of the policy was. I told the guy my dog was currently in the hospital and I didn’t know what was wrong the vet doesn’t know quite yet. I named all her symptoms and he said anything related to her current symptoms would be pre existing, that sounded fishy to me. Then he started repeating her symptoms and alluded to the fact that she had a lot of things going on. It wasn’t what he said but how he said it, they won’t get my business!!
Good customer service is almost non-existent these days. It's unfortunate but true. Not the case with Healthy Paws. The process of signing up, was a piece of cake. Once signed up, they send emails that are short and to the point. When I needed to file a claim, it was easy. They have an online portal and an app. Both are easy to use, intuitive and don't require a bunch of hoops. They review claims immediately, it's surprising how fast. They pay out just as fast and their statements are easy to read. Our dog got pretty sick and the bills added up. I was afraid they would find sa loophole or reason not to pay and that simply was not the case.
I highly recommend Healthy Paws to anyone looking for pet insurance.

My wife and I have two now almost 3…
My wife and I have two now almost 3 years' old newfoundlands. We love our boys dearly like most pet parents do and we knew when we got them, as puppies, that we were going to need a pet insurance to cover any eventual issues down the line. We, of course, hoped that we would never need to use our pet insurance with Healthy Paws but wanted to make sure our boys would always get the best care possible, if something was to happen. As it turns out, we've had quite a few issues with our boys already, which of course is unfortunate, but Healthy Paws have always been there to cover our expenses, as per policy, and we have never been left hanging. One of our dogs, for example, just had a mishap recently which resulted in an emergency abdominal surgery hospitalization for several days. Our total bill came to almost USD 10,000.00 and Healthy paws covered without any questions. Our other dog has been diagnosed with a heart condition and thyroid at the start of 2020 and more recently hip dysplasia. He requires a lot of medication to manage his condition and regular check-ups. Here too, Healthy Paws cover our expenses without any questions. We simply would not be able to take care of our boys the way we do, if we didn't have Healthy Paws as a security net. The premium for our policy is high because we have large breed dogs but it's reasonable and definitely worth the money. The claim process is so straight forward. Take a picture of your invoice and upload it through the app. Couldn't be more simple and we couldn't be any happier with our choice to use Healthy Paws as our pet insurance provider.
