Good experience

My pup tore his cruciate ligament and had to have surgery and rehab. Healthy Paws has been very responsive and quick with all the claims that I have submitted. They covered exactly what was stated in the policy. I have had no issues with the many claims that I submitted from this incident. I have been very pleased with their response and coverage.

We have had Healthy Paws Insurance since our dog was 6 years old. He is now 13. They have always been there for us, prompt payments, great customer service, and fair pricing.

Best customer service team and quick claim process

I was skeptical of signing up for pet insurance. I wasn’t sure if they would try to deny my claims based on some small print I may have missed. However our pup has the tendency to eat things he shouldn’t so this became a must. I was very surprised at how quickly my claims were reviewed and completed with healthy paws. Each customer service representative has been so kind and helpful during these stressful times and put my mind at ease that they were there to help.

Very Reliable Pet Insurance

Three weeks ago Kermit! who was in one of his best shapes of his life became very lethargic very quick. Within two days he got diagnosed with a ruptured spleen and internal bleeding and consequently got his spleen removed. He was in the ICU for four days. And so far we have been billed over $ 7,000. With Healthy Paws Pet Insurance, we were reimbursed close to 90% of the total expense within ten days. While I sincerely hope that no dog owner goes through what we went through, knowing that there is a reliable pet health insurance company taking care of the expenses definitely helps.

Monthly Cost

$15 – $80, depending on breed, zip code, age of pet and choice of deductible and co-pay.

Coverage

One plan covers accidents, illnesses, cancer, emergency care, genetic conditions, alternative care and more. You can choose a co-pay of 10%, 20%, 30% or 40%. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

No per incident, annual or lifetime pay-out limit.

Deductible

You can choose an annual deductible of $250, $500 or $750* *Choice depends on age of the pet

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old and under 14 years old at time of enrollment. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

Coverage begins 15 days after your policy starts. There is a 12-month waiting period for hip dysplasia claims.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered, however hip dysplasia is only covered in pets who enroll before they are 6 years old.
